Responsibilities:
The role would require a commitment to the company’s overall QA strategy and include the planning and execution of test and verification strategies. Understanding delivery requirements and constraints with delivery excellence in mind at all times will be paramount.
- Review requirement specifications, understand the requirements and provide meaningful and timely feedback
- Create well-structured and comprehensive test cases.
- Provide input for test estimations for manual and automated testing
- Prioritize and perform quality testing activities
- Report issues and prepare bug reports using JIRA
- Provide input for test artifacts
- Maintain test environments
- Automate regression test suites
- Perform usability and performance testing
- Knowledge in integration, system and user acceptance testing
Skills & Qualifications
- Produce comprehensive test designing for both functional and nonfunctional requirements and write end-to-end test cases.
- Familiar with test automation framework.
- Experience in test automation using open-source tools such as Selenium, TestNG and Appium etc.
- Experience in API automation.
- Knowledge of database structure languages, such SQL.
- Strong knowledge about continuous integration, build and source control tools. (Jenkins, Maven, GIT).
- Hands on Experience in Performance testing (JMeter).
- Experience with preparing/maintaining QA artefacts (e.g., test plans, test cases, and automated scripts).
- Experience in the testing middle tier and service-oriented architectures.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environment.
- Familiar with JIRA and Pivotal Tracker.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge in Security testing would be an added advantage Senior QA Engineer:
Education Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Software Engineering or any other related degree.
- Should have 2+ years’ experience in a similar capacity.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Professional certification such as ISTQB would be an added advantage
